If a runner does not arrive at the refreshment post before the closing time, he/she will automatically be out of the race.

The closing time will be marked by a bike with a green flag, which will follow the scheduled closing time of the control. Any rider overtaken by this bike will be out of the race. If a rider overtakes the green flagged bike again, he shall be back in the race.

Any rider who, out of the race, wishes to continue, shall do so at his own risk, knowing that he is out of the race and that the refreshment, medical and withdrawal services will not be available.

All the refreshment posts of the HUEX EXTREMA will have a series of standard products and other specific products depending on the characteristics of the refreshment post.

WARDROBE / COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT

All runners of the HUEX Extrema and Marathon will be able to hand in their cloakroom bag, which will be given to them by the organisation when they collect their bib number, with the material they wish to collect at the finish line. 

The material must be in the bag provided by the organisation, duly identified with the race bib number.

Participants will be able to access the start box with their bag and warm clothing. The organisers will collect all the bags from the start boxes 10 minutes before the start in order to prevent participants from getting cold.

COMPULSORY MATERIAL

  • Use of an approved cycling helmet.

  • Mobile phone with a charged battery.

  • Front and rear lights from 17:30h at the start of the race at the Alájar refreshment post.
    It can be worn from the start of the race or be handed out by a companion during the race.

RECOMMENDED MATERIAL

  • Drums and/or watertight bags for liquids: With a minimum total capacity of 1L.

  • Sunglasses and specific gloves.

  • Sun cream: Total protection.

  • Electrolytes and/or mineral salts.

  • Food reserve: bars, gels, fruit…

  • Suitable rucksack: according to the volume of the material and the pace of the race.

  • Mechanical spare parts for punctures.

  • Carry cash and/or credit card for any eventualities that may occur

  • Use of GPS devices to follow the route.

PLANING WITHDRAWN

The HUEX Extrema withdrawal schedule will be as follows: 

All cyclists who retire or do not pass the closure of each checkpoint in the established time will be able to make use of the broom and withdrawal vehicles that will be along the route. These vehicles will transport the withdrawn cyclists to the refreshment point at Minas de Río Tinto (1st cut-off point at 16:20h), where a bus will leave after the cut-off point to the finish line in Aracena.

Cyclists who retire at the refreshment points after the Minas de Río Tinto refreshment point will be picked up by the broom bus and transported to the finish line as the race progresses.
